Camping in Gorson Bugyal is one of the perfect ways to cross over the lushly meadows to experience those serenity at the Garhwal Himalayas. Bedni Bugyal, a charming green meadow adorned with the finest meadows of India is actually a high altitude grassy area to bring the natural features of North India. Adorned with flowers in a spell binding varieties, in full bloom, Bedni Bugyal brings perfect mountain camping options in Garhwal Himalayas. A small lake is situated in the midst of the meadow, where Tarpans are offered by the devotees. A small temple can also be found near the lake where the devotees pay their obeisance, during their halt at Bedni Bugyal.
Also being referred as Auli, it is one of the best ski slopes in terms of safety, and known to be a skier's paradise, it has one of the longest skiing slopes in Asia. The 3 kms long slope ranges from 2519 m to 3049 m offering a glorious view of the towering Himalayan peaks such as the Nanda Devi (7817m), Kamet (7756m), the Mana Parvat (7273m) and the Dunagiri (7066m). Auli can also be reached from Joshimath (1890m) by taking a leisurely 3 km ride on the (cable car).
During summers, Auli is a relaxing destination, with the massive Alaknanda gorge flanking its North, and the almost unending grassy slopes all around, making it the most relaxing hill resort in the Indian Himalayas!
