Garhwal and its peaks, temples, lakes, etc are full of colorful legends from different Hindu mythologies. Dodital Lake is one such place, associated with the Lord Ganesha, thus also referred to as Ganesha Lake. Being an altitude lake, it is automatically understood that the area around the water body must be surrounded by sceneries unlike found around the lakes of plains, more when it is surrounded by snow during winters. The easy-going characteristic of Dodital snow trekking only enhances the cadence of mountain beauty matching with the rhythm of the footsteps.
The journey gets started from Delhi, even though the trekking begins only from the Sangamchatti which is reached from Haridwar which takes to the next destination- Uttarkashi. After crossing few small villages in the scenic mountain exquisiteness, trekkers are reached to Manjhi which finally leads to Dodital. The lake trekking is accomplished here unless one plans to go Dwara Top and Agoda Village, 5 Km and 17 Km respectively up the trail from Dodital walking on the same snow path. The mountains and their glimpse in the lake is vista one would like to capture in his eyes forever.
In winter, Dodital Lake assumes apparently bijou elegance due to the surrounding snow. Some bridges, pine and oak foliage, grass huts, water points and not to forget, snow will a constant company on the trek.

Train: 3rd AC Train from Delhi to Haridwar & back
Accommodation: Hotel in Uttarkashi & Rishikesh with bed & breakfast basis. While on the trek accommodation will be provided in tents on double sharing and single basis. Our tents are 4 season dome tents with lots of space for personal luggage. We will be putting up a dining tent and a toilet tent to make your camping comfortable.
Meals: In Uttarkashi & Rishikesh only breakfast will serve. While on trek all meals will be provided. The meal will be mix of Indian, Chinese and continental.
Professional and experienced English speaking local trekking guide
Mules/Porters: For carrying camping equipment like tents, carry mat, camping stool, rations, vegetables and some amount of personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 15 kgs).
Transport: Mahindra Max car from Haridwar to Sangamchatti & back to Haridwar.
Kitchen staff would accompany the group
