After breakfast, set out to explore Kochi. The city has an old-world charm but simultaneously embraces modernity. It has a cultural blend of Dutch, Portuguese, and British. Visit Paradesi Synagogue, the oldest active Jewish place of worship in India. Also, explore the Jew Town and The Dutch Palace in Mattancherry.
Explore Fort Kochi, the older part of the city. Visit St. Francis Church - the oldest European church in India, Santa Cruz Cathedral, known for its appreciable Gothic architecture, see the popular Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi Beach, and all the markets around these places.Return to the hotel in the evening.Overnight at the hotel in Kochi.
After breakfast, we will drive to Alleppey (or Alappuzha), a backwater heaven also nicknamed 'Venice of the East'. Check into the hotel and get ready to explore the enchanting beauty of this city.
Experience the ride on a houseboat through the palm-fringed backwater canals. The boat cruising in the big snake boats intrigues all tourists.
Alleppey is also called the rice bowl of Kerala as it produces a wealth of paddy and is also renowned for coir making. You can see locals transporting paddy or making coir often at the edges of the backwater.
