DAY WISE ITINERARY

Welcome to Leh! Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for acclimatization to the high altitude. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing, beginning with a visit to the Shey Palace, the former summer residence of the pre-Tibetan kings. Next, head to the remarkable 16th-century Thiksey Monastery, followed by the wealthiest monastery complex in Leh, Hemis Monastery. After visiting the renowned school from the film "3 Idiots," you will have a moment to appreciate the serene views of the Indus River. Conclude your day with visits to the Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace before returning to your hotel for the night.

Begin your day with breakfast before setting off for Nubra Valley. After approximately 3 hours of driving, you'll ascend to Khardung La, the world's highest motorable road at 18,380 feet. Enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Indus Valley and, if the weather permits, the Karakoram range. Descend into the lush Nubra Valley and check into your hotel. In the evening, take a short drive to the Hunder sand dunes for a memorable ride on the double-humped Bactrian camels. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay, with an optional village walk if time allows.

Embark on a journey to Turtuk, a picturesque village located on the India-Pakistan border. Known for its stunning natural beauty, Turtuk offers a cultural experience distinct from the rest of Ladakh, as it belongs to the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Enjoy the lush green pastures and fresh produce that thrive in this lower altitude. After exploring Turtuk, return to Nubra Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

After breakfast, depart from Nubra to Pangong Lake, traveling alongside the crystal-clear Shyok River. The river’s shimmering waters reflect the sunlight beautifully, resembling a carpet of diamonds. Upon reaching your campsite at Pangong, settle in and take some time to relax. Spend your evening by the lakeside, soaking in the tranquility before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.

Today’s journey to Tso Moriri Lake promises stunning scenery as you travel through remote landscapes on a route often described as a ‘no man’s land.’ The drive across the Chanthang plateau leads you to the breathtaking Tsomoriri, situated at an altitude of 4,511 meters. Spend your evening marveling at the changing colors of the mountains and the lake's beauty. You will stay in comfortable tents or cottages at Tso Moriri.

Post breakfast, visit Puga Sumdo, then take the road across Polokongka Pass (4,920 meters) to reach Tsokar Lake, a salt lake, home to the Changa nomads and diverse wildlife. After sightseeing, continue your journey back to Leh via the Manali-Leh highway, crossing Taglang La, which stands at 17,585 feet. Arrive at your hotel in Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your day with visits to the Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, followed by a drive to Alchi Gompa. Known for its unique 11th-century frescoes, Alchi is a testament to ancient Buddhist art. After exploring Alchi, proceed to Kargil for the night stay.

Begin your day with a visit to the Kargil War Museum in Drass (subject to operational availability), then continue your drive to Leh, crossing Namika La (3,697 meters) and Mulbekh, where you'll see the impressive Chamba statue carved from a single rock. Make a stop at the oldest monastery in Ladakh, Lamayuru, known for its unique landscape. Finally, return to Leh for a night stay.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh Airport based on your flight schedule, concluding your incredible journey through the landscapes of Ladakh.
