Continue driving to the Sangam, where the Indus and Zanskar Rivers meet. Next, head to Alchi and Lamayuru Monasteries, two of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Return to Leh for an overnight stay at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin your journey to Nubra Valley via the iconic Khardung La, one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world, standing at an elevation of 18,380 feet. Next, enjoy a peaceful walk along the banks of the pristine Shyok River, soaking in the serene beauty of the landscape. Continue your journey to Diskit Monastery, the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra region, known for its impressive 33-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha that overlooks the valley. Later, head to Hunder Village, where you’ll have the opportunity to ride the unique double-humped Bactrian camels across the picturesque sand dunes. Upon arrival in Hunder, check in to your hotel or camp for a relaxing overnight stay.
Today, after a hearty breakfast, head to Turtuk Village, the northern-most settlement of Ladakh (opened to tourists for the first time in 2010). Witness the scenic apricot orchards, meet the locals, and learn about their rich Balti culture. Next, drive to Thang 0 Point, the last civilian outpost near the LOC. Return to Hunder in Nubra Valley for an overnight stay.
Embark on a memorable drive to the base camp of the legendary Siachen Glacier after breakfast. En route, make a stop at Sumur Village to visit the 150-year-old Samstanling Monastery, gracefully perched at the base of rugged, desolate mountain. Continue to the Panamik hot springs, where you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the naturally warm, mineral-rich waters, believed to have therapeutic properties. Next, pass through Sasoma Village before reaching the Siachen Base Camp by afternoon. Located at an altitude of around 20,000 feet in the Karakoram Range, the Siachen Glacier holds the distinction of being the highest militarized zone in the world. Enjoy the awe-inspiring views of this remote and powerful landscape. After the visit, drive back to Sumur for an overnight stay at the camp.
After checking out of your hotel in Sumur, set off on a scenic drive to Pangong Lake, following the beautiful Shyok River and passing through the quaint Tangtse Village. Enjoy the ever-changing landscapes as you journey through high-altitude valleys and rugged terrain. Upon arrival, check in to your camp and take some time to relax. Later, visit the mesmerizing Pangong Lake, the world’s highest saltwater lake, situated at an elevation of around 14,270 feet and stretching across the borders of India and China. Marvel at the lake’s striking blue waters, which change its color with the shifting sunlight. Return to your camp in the evening for a peaceful overnight stay.
Today, after breakfast, check out of the camp and travel back to Leh through the Chang-la Pass, another high mountain pass in Ladakh. Upon arrival in Leh, you will either be dropped at your hotel or at the Leh Main Market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Enjoy a full day Leh sightseeing tour. After breakfast, visit Hemis Monastery, followed by Thiksey Monastery, Shey Monastery, and the 3 Idiots School. After returning to the city, visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. The driver will take you to the market or drop you off at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the early morning, check out of the hotel, transfer to the airport, and fly back to your destination. Your trip ends here.
