Once called the 'Indian Matterhorn' for its pyramid-like shape, this stunning peak is located at Tapovan in Western Garhwal Himalaya. The summit reaches at an elevation of around 6543 m and leaves the adventurers speechless for its gigantic sight. Itinerary

On arrival at Delhi International Airport meet & Greet by our Tour Manager &then transfer to pre-booked hotel in Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel.

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel by 09:30 am and visit Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) for briefing and clear all the documentation formalities, later drive directly to Rishikesh by road. On arrival at Rishikesh check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

In the morning,we will have our breakfast in the hotel and later drive to Uttarkashi. By road via Dehradun and Mussoorie. On arrival check in to hotel and meet our guide, later visit Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) is one of the best mountaineering institutes in India. After exploring NIM back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Today after breakfast we will start our journey towards Gangotri via a beautiful Harsil Valley by 09:00 am. Upon arrival at Gangotri check-into hotel. Afternoon free to relax & get acclimatized. In the evening visit Gangotri Temple for Goddess Ganga blessings. Later back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning after early breakfast get ready, meet the guide and porters. Later we will start our first day's trek to Bhojwassa(3800 mts) following the river Bhagirathi on right bank by covering approx 14 kms in 5-6 hrs. Trek is full of fascinating Himalayan sights and you can have beautiful views of snowcapped peaks around. Upon arrival at Bhojwassa, set up camp for overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast start trekking (5 kms / 2 hrs) to reach Gaumukh; The Source of River Ganges'. The river Bhagirathi emerges from the Gangotri Glacier at Gaumukh. After spending some time at Gaumukh, continue trekking (6 kms /3hrs) to reach Tapovan (4400 mt). The trek crosses Gangotri glacier from right to left bank before climbing to Tapovan plains. Tapovan is a beautiful high-altitude meadow and base camp for Shivling peak. Overnight stay in camp.

Pack up after breakfast and trek down to Chirbasa via Gomukh and Bhojwassa. On arrival set out camp for dinner and overnight stay.

The last day of the trekking covering 8 kms in 2-3 hrs to reach Gangotri. On arrival, drive back to Uttarkashi. Arrive Uttarkashi and check-in at hotel/resort for overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast drive back to Rishikesh. Upon arrival check-into the hotel for the overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi and upon arrival check-into the hotel for overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast visit to IMF for debriefing. Rest of the day is free for independent activity. Later transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination.
