About This Tour
Nanda Devi is a peak well known for the significant difficulty it posed on the peak climbers when it was still allowed to have a climbing expedition. Still, this does not stop adventure trekkers to see the group of glaciers that the peak serves as host. Their size is intimidating, yet a divine challenge seems inviting enough to take an expedition to the site and witness the majesty of Nature.
Nanda Devi North and South (length- 19 Km each) glaciers are two most famous of all, but there are others like Trishul, Bartoli, Kururntoli, Ramani, etc. These all are part of Nature's strategy to keep the water supply of the region as best as possible in the form of streams and waterfalls originating from these glaciers only. The waters from them make Rishi Ganga which then takes the form of Dhauli Ganga at a place called Raini by keep flowing along the line.
The picturesque ambience is reached by taking to Malari Road for Joshimath, the path full of kaleidoscopic views of flowing river, greenery of forests, etc. one hardly knows when Lata arrives, which then takes to the trekking trip.
