Pangarchulla is an ideal climbing spot for the tourists who are adventure enthusiasts and want to slake their yearning for mountain climbing. It is, located in Uttarakhand, at an elevation of 4575m above the sea-level, which makes it is an ideal place for the neophytes interested in mountain climbing. Trekkers can experience the crisping snow with an amazing vision of the high mountains. The journey starts from Auli, which is well known for its ski gradients. From Auli camp side, the gorgeous view of Nanda Devi can be experienced. On the way to the pastures of Gorson, a trekker comes across the forests of oak and rhododendron. From Gorson, the path clambers down from sheer gorges to the forests where you can camp through a miniscule water body called ‘Tali’. The trip proffers the oodles of photo opportunity as it is covered with a gorgeous panorama of the stately peaks including Nanda Devi. The trek ends at Tapovan.
The best season to enjoy a great hiking experience is Mid April to June and September to October. The jaunt is led by skilled climbers, and might need the partakers to use technical climbing equipments such as crampons, ropes, ice ax, etc. It’s a moderate climb and one should be physically fit for it.
