About This Tour
The Yuksom Dzongri Trek is the most popular trek in Sikkim that takes the trail towards the famous Goecha La. Goecha la Trek which is the premier trekking trail in Sikkim takes the trekkers up and closer to bring a spectacular view of the mighty Kanchenjunga amidst a majestic panorama of the other Himalayan giants within the mountain ranges.
An extension of the Dzongri Trek, the Yuksom-Dzongri Trek brings the raw trekking adventure at its best beyond the meadows where the visitors can take the natural realm of the towering peaks. From Yuksom, the trail follows the Rathong Valley to Bakkhim and from here a steep ascent to the village of Tsokha to reach Pedhang through the Tsokha trail. The trekkers then cross the river to reach Thangsing at the height of 3930 m.
The Yuksom Dzongri Trek is one of the more remote and stunning treks in India, taking one through forests of Rhododendron and valleys covered with lichen and moss, offering numerous birding opportunities and encounters with herds of Bharal or Blue mountain sheep and not to mention the stunning vistas of some of the highest mountains in the world.
